CatEye’s HR-12 heart rate sensor connects with any Bluetooth enabled phone including both iPhones and Android devices. Use the CatEye Cycling or other cycling or fitness app to track heart rate and make the most of your workouts.

The Q3 allows you to customize your training experience with 5 programmable heart rate zones, up to 99 laps with real time lap functions, and both time and distance interval functions. There are programmable time and distance countdown functions, cadence tracking, and is waterproof up to 30m. The Q series functions on a 2.4GHz digitally encoded wireless band and will store up to 30 training files, downloadable with the USB Dongle (available separately). Both the LED and sensor has been improved dramatically and can measures SpO2 (oxygen saturation) and PR (pulse rate) with extreme precision even at low blood perfusion. Just put your finger into the finger chamber and it will measure your SpO2 and PR within seconds.

The SM-310 retains the popular plethysmograph so that you can measure your SpO2 and PR with confidence.

How does the plethysmograph work?
Each wave (see above) corresponds to a heart beat and the wave amplitude corresponds to the amount of blood flowing through the blood vessels. If the wave amplitude is low, this means that your blood perfusion is too low for a reliable read. You should retake your measurement and make sure that your finger is positioned right under the LED lights.

The SM-310 also retain the dual color OLED rotatable display, allowing you to view your results in any directions.

A new saddle should be treated with Brooks Proofide leather dressing to help assist the ‘breaking-in’ process. Proofide keeps the leather supple as it is specially formulated from natural ingredients to condition, preserve and shower proof your saddle. Proofide is the only substance that should be used to care for your Brooks Leather Saddle.

Apply a little Proofide to the finished side of the leather. Allow the Proofide to permeate until dry and then polish off. Proofide should be used several times during the ‘breaking-in’ period and every 3-6 months thereafter. On bicycles not fitted with mudguards, an initial application to the underside of the saddle will be beneficial, this needs not to be polished off. The leather gets its colour during the tanning process and it is possible, therefore, that some colour residues will remain. It is recommended to polish the saddle with a soft cloth before first use.
