With each model, your drift trike will handle differently depending on the riding surface and your skill level. The polypropylene (PP) wheel comes standard on Bike Rassine drift trikes and offers affordable strength, durability and optimum control on slippery surfaces. The POM wheel is made from polyoxymethylene, an engineering thermoplastic that’s almost the perfect material for drifting, with its strength, hardness, rigidity and abrasion resistance. The POM wheel has a similar feel to PVC on go-kart tires and gives advanced riders a drift experience with low friction. The nylon wheel provides a high strength-to-weight ratio with excellent abrasion and heat resistance. If you’re tough on your trike then this is the wheel for you. These injection-molded wheels last up to 20 times longer than low-end, blow-molded wheels and weigh up to nine pounds less than go-kart tires with PVC slicks. Care Instructions:
Hand Wash:
The preferred method is hand laundered in cool water with pH neutral soap using a gentle hand movement. Do not soak too long. Rinse in cool water and roll silk in a towel to remove excess water. Never wring water from silk. Hand washing is much easier and in fact faster.
Machine Wash:
Wash in cold water with pH neutral soap, no bleach, on a gentle cycle. Wash silk separate from other items(or put them in a mesh bag) and do not overload washer to avoid any unnecessary wear to the fabric. Do Not run them through a dryer(Tumble dry on very low heat for a short time only if necessary.) as silk is not heat resistant, lay them on towel on a sunny window sill, they will dry fast.
Ironing:
Silk has a resistance to creasing or wrinkling, most will smooth out naturally. If ironing should become necessary, press the damp silk on the reverse side with an iron set on low. Silk charmeuse (satin) requires a cool iron to bring back sheen.
Silk is actually very strong for its weight. Filament silk(long strands) is stronger than “spun silk”(short bits spun together). Customers’ experience tells that if you take care of silk gloves they will last many years! ;-))
