“I’m using it on a mountain bike with an Edge 200 and it fits beautifully. To give you some idea of size, I’ve got it mounted 4mm from the right hand edge of my 43mm wide stem to get the garmin perfectly aligned to the middle. It feels well made and does up nice & tight with a bit of thread still left which is a good sign. I’ve used it on all sorts of rides inc. very bumpy off-road and it hasn’t moved AT ALL.
Garmin locks with a re-assuring ‘click’ but isn’t so tight that it should damage the wings on the computer. If you’re not a gram-counting, points-chasing race fanatic, why would you sacrifice your comfort with a carbon-soled tap dancing shoe? That was Shimano’s thinking when designing the SH-WM63 Women’s Shoes. Whether you’re four hours into a ride, or hiking your bike through an unrideable section, the responsive, yet slightly flexible polyamide sole and robust rubber lugs are much more comfortable than a svelte race slipper. But with three straps and a women’s-specific fit, the shoes definitely don’t sacrifice a top-tier fit. To maximize durability, Shimano chose stretch-resistant synthetic leather for the upper. Mesh panels were added to improve airflow, which keeps your feet cool and dry on warm days. A micro-adjustable buckle keeps your heel locked in place, while the two hook-and-loop straps at the forefoot are easily adjustable, allowing you to find the perfect compromise between a snug fit and maintaining proper bloodflow. As you’d expect, Shimano built the SH-WM63 on its women’s-specific last to help tailor the fit to your foot. The last sits on a reinforced polyamide midsole, which blends direct response with greater flex, and greater comfort, than a more race-oriented carbon fiber sole. The durable rubber lugs on the bottom are built to withstand plenty of hike-a-biking, which makes the WM63 appropriate for both cyclocross and trail riding applications.
