Not everyone’s in it to win it–some people, contrary to what the race-crazed lunatics tell you, actually just ride for fun, and it’s for those sane folks that Shimano designed the SH-WM63 Women’s Shoes. They’re designed to handle all the curveballs that the trail throws at you, with grippy rubber sole lugs for treacherous hike-a-bikes, a fiberglass-reinforced nylon sole for the perfect blend of stiffness and comfort, and a supple but durable synthetic leather upper. The upper’s made to resist stretch, so your shoes won’t develop a sloppy fit, and is outfitted with strategic mesh panels to increase ventilation and cooling. On top of the foot, a three-strap combo keeps you locked in. A ratcheting strap over your instep snugs your heel down into the heel pocket, and two hook-and-loop straps at the forefoot provide easily adjustable volume control so your foot doesn’t slide from side to side. Underneath, the two-hole cleat setup is compatible with all standard mountain bike cleats, so you won’t need to retrofit your setup just to accommodate your killer new shoes.
