The Bella Shorts, designed by women’s bike designer Terry Bicycles, have become some of the most popular women’s-specific bike shorts in the industry — for every type of rider from racer to weekend warrior. Now the same fabric tech and fit is available as the knee-covering Bella Knickers. The Bella Knickers were constructed from Meryl nylon. Meryl is an extremely lightweight, breathable fabric that allows the transfer of moisture from the skin to the outside of the fabric so that it quickly evaporates. It also features a bacteriostatic function, thanks to silver ion content, which means that it inhibits the growth of bacteria contained in the skin. In other words, you won’t get stinky. The fabric received a matte finish, and a high spandex content ensures that they’ll fit without stretching, ride after ride. The 20in-long knickers feature a 6-panel design with flat-stitched panels so that you won’t chafe. The front of the knickers are elastic-free with a second-skin fit. Finishing the construction of the Bella knickers is the Flex Air chamois. Made in Italy using Elastic Interface Technology (EIT), this is a 4-way stretch insert that uses multi-density foam to provide support for the sit bones and cushioning for soft tissue areas. The cover of the chamois is perforated for increased breathability. The Terry Bicycles Bella Knickers – Women’s are available in sizes X-Small to XX-Large and in the colors Black/pink and Black/grey.
